Mold Engineering
As INGEL is well aware that the quality of the finished container depends on the mold it has made major investments in its tooling department. INGEL tooling department produces complete injection molds for the production of preforms in PET, injection components and blow molds. The tooling department has a production capacity of 5,000 blow cavities and 10,000 injection cavities per year.
Mold design:
• Molds are first solid modeled using the bottle numerical model to optimize as well as simplify mold tooling cycle and to guarantee high accuracy and precision before making the mold
• When mold design is completed, the CAM phase starts to define tools and tool path and to define theoretical time
• The 3D Mold Model is then transferred to the Tooling department using the same software system
Mold manufacturing:
• Highly advanced tools and automated work centers can produce up to six molds simultaneously in three daily shifts
• Capacity to build 8,500 blow mold cavities and 20,000 injection stacks per year
• 200 people PET tool shop (largest in Europe)
• Quality Control Department performs a 100% quality tests & dimensional inspection on all mold components to certify tolerances and precision.
